This policy explains what data the GH Expenses app (cl.ghtech.ghgastos, also called GH Gastos), developed by GH Tech (Chile), collects, how we use it and your rights. By using the app you accept this policy.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile photo. If you sign up with email, your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and we never see it.
• Data you enter: expenses (amount, category, date, description, payment method, client/job/supplier, invoice flag), subscriptions, budget, custom categories and any receipt photos you choose to attach.
• Profile preferences: profile type, country and currency.
• Account technical data: sign-up date, last access date, app version and counters (number of expenses, subscriptions and photos).
• Purchases: if you subscribe to Premium, Google Play tells us the subscription status. We never receive or store your card details.
• App usage: with Google Analytics for Firebase we record, in aggregate, which screens are visited and actions such as creating an expense or subscription (without amounts or descriptions), along with your profile type, country and plan, an internal user ID, device model and OS version.
• Advertising: on the free plan we show Google AdMob ads, which may collect the device advertising ID, ad interaction data, device information and approximate location (from IP address).

2. How we use it

• To provide the service: store and show your expenses, summaries and reminders.
• To manage your account, your plan (free or Premium) and service security.
• To show ads on the free plan.
• Usage statistics to understand which features are used and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Who can see your data

• Your expenses, subscriptions and photos are private. Database security rules only let your own account access them; not even the GH Expenses administrator can read them.
• The administrator can see general account data (name, email, country, profile type, sign-up and last access dates, plan and counters) to provide support and manage plans.
• Payment reminders are scheduled on your own phone.

4. Service providers

• Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore): stores your account and data on Google servers in the Santiago, Chile region (Firebase privacy).
• Google Analytics for Firebase: usage statistics (Firebase privacy).
• Google AdMob: ads on the free plan (how Google uses data in ads). In the EEA and UK we ask for consent before showing personalized ads; you can change it in Settings → Ad privacy options.
• Google Play: Premium payment processing (Google privacy policy).

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account and all your data in the app (Settings → Delete my account) or request it on this page. Deletion immediately and permanently removes your sign-in account, expenses, subscriptions, photos and summaries.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google infrastructure with per-user access rules. No system is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct and delete your data in the app, or contact us to exercise your rights under Chilean data protection law (Law 19.628 and amendments) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

8. Children

GH Expenses is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
